Silicon cluster

The Silicon Cluster is formed for the purpose of creation of a chain of silicon production facilities where the making of feedstock for solar power engineering, microelectronics and high-accuracy optics will be established.

Full cycle of silicon repartition – from the supply of feedstock from proprietary deposits (Republic of Kazakhstan) to the making of ready products – will allow to maximally reduce costs for the making of saleable material. Thus, in Omsk one will produce polysilicon of low cost price, and that will make it possible to export silicon products. The cluster will include already active metallurgical silicon plant (Republic of Kazakhstan) and polysilicon plant in the city of Omsk (10 thousand tonnes of polysilicon per year).

Location: city of Zhezkazgan (Republic of Kazakhstan).
Uniqueness: highly pure vein quartz

Metallurgical silicon plant “SILICIUM KAZAKHSTAN”

Location: city of Karaganda (Republic of Kazakhstan).
Capacity: 25 thousand tonnes/year with possibility of doubling the capacity.
Uniqueness: production of high-quality metallurgical silicon; selection of equipment with minimal ecological load; wasteless cycle of production.

Polysilicon plant

Location: city of Omsk.
Capacity: polysilicon (10 thousand tonnes/year), mono- and multisilicon, quartz grit, quartz concentrate, crucibles, filaments.
Uniqueness: full cycle of silicon repartition will allow to produce in Omsk the cheapest polysilicon in the world and to export it successfully.

Production of photovoltaic converters

Capacity: 1,2 gigawatt/year
Prospect: creation of enterprises for photovoltaic modules assembly from photoelectric plates in various regions of Russian Federation.
