Petrochemical cluster

Creation of Petrochemical Cluster is aimed at modernizing of petrochemical facilities which exist in Omsk region and also at creating of the new high-tech enterprises. Within the cluster the capacity of CJSC “ECOOIL” installation producing MTBE (methyl tertiary-butyl ether) will be increased and its retraining on ETBE (ethyl tertiary-butyl ether) production will be made, polypropylene plant construction and creation of Industrial park on polymers processing will be carried out.

Production of ETBE in Omsk will allow producing gasolines of “Euro-4” standard and better, biogasolines “Е10”. High quality of the additive will be achieved also at the expense of the use in the production technology of nanoporous polylayer membranes.

Polypropylene plant will be one of the four enterprises of such a high technological level in Russia. Near the plant an Industrial park will be constructed where small and medium-size business enterprises will reside (about 40 representatives). They will conduct processing of produced polypropylene in the volume of 100%.

Production of ETBE

Capacity: 330-500 thousand tonnes/year.
Advantages of use: presence of even 10% ETBE in the fuel increases its octane number and enriches the fuel with oxygen which in turn decreases carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide content in automotive exhaust fumes; ETBE is ecologically safe; its addition into fuel does not require changes in the design of the engines of modern cars.
Uniqueness: lack of a similar plant in Russia; use of renewable feedstock (vegetable biomass from which one produces ethanol – base for ETBE).
Additional possibilities: decrease of isobutylene consumption to 14%; opportunity to produce gasolines of “Euro-4” standard and better, biogasoline E10.

Polypropylene Plant

Capacity: 180 thousand tonnes/year.
Uniqueness: flexible modern manufacture which is able to produce up to 78 grades of polypropylene; use of advanced world technologies allowing to conduct virtually wasteless production cycle and minimize load on ecology.

Industrial Park

Uniqueness: distribution of small and medium-size business enterprises specializing on polymers processing on the same infrastructure site in the vicinity of feedstock source.
Production: wide range of consumer goods: articles for medicine, electrotechnology and machine-building, building materials, pipes, fibers, cultural and household goods, automotive parts, packing, film.
