“ECOOIL” CJSC

Closed joint-stock company “ECOOIL” was founded in 1994 on the base of production capacities of public company “Omsky Kautchuk”. Company’s birthday falls on 19 August 1995 when the first tonne of production was manufactured - high-octane fuel additive methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE). “ECOOIL” is one of the largest Russian MTBE producers among the enterprises of petrochemical branch. During its working period CJSC “ECOOIL” has produced more than 1,5 million tonnes of MTBE.

The line of products includes butadiene which is used as major feedstock for the making of synthetic rubbers, and household-appliance gases. The company methodically employs new technologies, improves quality and widens its line of goods. In 1997 a gas-loading unit was commissioned which allows to load household-appliance gases into truck tanks. In 2002, in connection with increased demand for the company’s goods, a second MTBE production line was activated. It allowed to increase production capacity of the enterprise to 200 000 tonnes per year, and in 2008 the capacity was increased to 330 000 tonnes of MTBE per year.

Main export routes of CJSC “ECOOIL” include Finland, Poland, Latvia, China, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Since 2006 CJSC “ECOOIL” has been using management system which meets the requirements of international standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
