October 24, 1962 takes as the birthday of the plant. It was then when a foreman P.P. Troshkin and a Chief of BRIZTI of the plant A.V. Nazarov presented the first briquette of Omsk rubber to Presidium of the VI Communist Party Regional Committee Plenum. The Director of the factory A.D. Sverdlov reported on commissioning of the plant. In 1963 the first divinyl was obtained from raw materials supplied from the refinery; isopropylbenzene and first-conditioned alfamethylstyrene.

Since June 1964 «Omsk Synthetic Rubber Plant»// «Omsky zavod synthenicheskogo kautchuka» (OZSK) became profitable. For the first time in the Soviet Union the plant began to produce a new product metiletilpiridin - a valuable raw material for pharmaceutical, food, vitamins, and paint industries. For the first time in Siberia were obtained ethylene and propylene - the necessary raw materials for the production of acetaldehyde.

In September 1970 for the first time in the Soviet Union OZSK through direct oxidation of ethylene obtained acetaldehyde, established compact installation, used typical equipment which was resistant to corrosion.

In 1989, technological structure of the plant included over 30 chemical processes, allowing use by-products and wastes of one production as feedstock for other productions. As a result of the nineties crisis «Omsky kautchuk» has faced serious economic difficulties and virtually ceased its activities, the enterprise got through an external control procedure. Soon after the general investor - ZSTPF «Titan» came at OJSC «Omsky kautchuk», the factory built and started up the installation for the production of a new rubber stabilizer, hyperis production, the production of propylene, depreservation of other industries was begun.

During 2000, there were started different productions: propylene, propane of the propane-propylene fraction, butadiene and isobutilene fraction of the pyrolysis fractions, phenol and acetone in the earlier idle equipment.

In 2001, «Omsky kautchuk», the first after the Voronezh SC, mastered the production of high styrene rubber, included into the international range of products according to ISO-9001 certification system.

In 2003, the project of «Reconstruction of propylene rectification column» was implemented, which resulted in the increased volume of processed propane-propylene fraction in 80%. Largely due to investment and organizational capability of the Group of companies «Titan», «Omsky kautchuk» has entered the world market with fundamentally new products and occupied a stable position on Russian petrochemical market. The production of the enterprise was repeatedly praised and awarded on Russian and international exhibitions.

The management system meeting the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 has been implemented and is operating at OJSC «Omsky kautchuk» since 2006. OJSC «Omsky kautchuk» takes one of the leading positions among Russian producers of synthetic rubber. Cooperation with the Research Studies Institute in the technology improvement area, an integrated approach to studying the current state of the market of petrochemical products and innovative models of the output growth are key components of the dynamics of the enterprise.

In 2007, the Group of companies «Titan» becomes the owner of a qualified block of shares of OJSC «Omsky kautchuk». After the cessation of external control procedures, in 2009, OJSC «Omsky kautchuk» goes to the corporate management system in accordance with the law on joint stock companies.

In 2009 at OJSC «Omsky kautchuk» a new unit was organized - the production of high-octane additives and liquefied petroleum gases (HOA and LPG// VOD and SUG). By 2010, it is planned to start another production of organic products. The company currently has capacity to produce synthetic rubber and fine chemical technologies and complex organic synthesis products: acetaldehyde, ethyl acetate, synthetic phenol and acetone, methyl-tretbutyl ether, methylethyl-, methylvinylpyridine, as well as products for use within the enterprise as a raw material. OJSC «Omsky kautchuk» keeps working on further production modernization and solving problems related to labor protection, improvement of reliability and security, process automation, as well as the implementation of innovative projects that will enable the enterprise to increase the number of consumers and to work steadily in the international market.
